  2. "Johnny B. Goode" is a rock-and-roll song written and first recorded by Chuck Berry. Released as a single, it peaked at number two on Billboard magazine's Hot R&B Sides chart and number eight on its Hot chart. "Johnny B. Goode" is considered one of the most recognizable songs in the history of popular ed as "the first rock & roll hit about rock & roll stardom", it has been B-side: "Around and Around".

Berry lifted some guitar licks for this song: the intro came from the Louis Jordan song "Ain't That Just Like A Woman," and the guitar break came from a T-Bone Walker song called "Strollin' With Bones."Jordan was a very influential R&B singer and a huge influence on Berry; Walker was a famous guitarist in the '40s and early '50s who came up with an electric guitar sound and raucous stage.
